Lee Kuan Yew

Photography by Lance Lee

With years of experience photographing country leaders, politicians, corporate CEOs and business leaders, we are good at getting busy people to look good in front of the camera

Lance Lee photographed Mr Lee Kuan Yew, the founding prime minister of Singapore for his book “Keeping My Mandarin Alive“.

The photography project allowed Lance Lee to spend two weeks with Mr Lee Kuan Yew at the Istana (Singapore’s version of the White House) where he photographed him studying to improve his Mandarin Chinese.

It was a humbling experience to see Mr Lee Kuan Yew at the old age of 80+ still keeping a packed schedule to learn Mandarin and computer skills. That inspired Lance to lead a life of life-long learning and to always keep adapting.
