RGB represents the three basic primary colours -- Red, Green and Blue. Incidentally, Ken Liong's two pieces of works ( based on this theme of RGB ) selected for exhibition at Singapore Art '97 were both taken standing at the same spot on an overhead bridge in Singapore, minutes apart on the same roll of film!

The Singapore Art '97 is a biennial national art exhibition that is organised by the National Heritage Board and the National Arts Council. Mr Abdullah Tarmugi, Minister for Community Development, feels that this exhibition " showcases the works of our talented Singapore artists " and "... it will continue to position itself as an important national art exhibition ". The exhibition is organised in four broad categories: 2-Dimensional Works, Chinese Ink Painting and Calligraphy, Creative Photography and 3-Dimensional Works. Creative Photography entries were chosen by a judging panel of expert and highly respected photographers like Mr David P.C. Tay, Mr Peter Chen, Mr Ian Lloyd, Mr Chua Soo Bin, etc. The panel hopes to see an even wider range of uncontemporary works for Singapore Art '99 from more local artists.
